1979 Origins
In August 8th 1979, Mexicana de Estafeta is founded —the first shipping company to introduce door-to-door services in Mexico.
1980 Consolidation and Dynamism
Developed a network of self owned offices to service 54 cities in Mexico.
Integrated its selling force.
Established its ground distribution routes using a self owned truck fleet.
Installed several operations centers, including Mexico City’s Operations Center, the largest in the country to date.
1990 Leader Company in the Industry
Launched parcel delivery service and started worldwide operations.
Opened a new sales channel: dealers.
Established Estafeta´s Domestic Air Network (Red Aérea Nacional Estafeta) with an exclusive operator.
Developed technology tools for clients: Shipment Tracking, Website, and a Control System (Sistema Comando) for shipment management.
Opened its Intermodal Exchange Center in San Luis Potosi Airport and La Tinaja Exchange Center in Tierra Blanca, Veracruz.
2000 Estafeta Logistics Integrator
Launched Estafeta Air Cargo (Estafeta Carga Aerea, ECA), a regular cargo airline with coverage in 13 domestic and 1 international destination with a self owned fleet.
The Supply Chain Management Division is formed, offering services such as Strategic Warehousing, Fulfillment and Same Day Delivery.
Estafeta Electronic Inbox (Buzón Electrónico Estafeta) is created, an innovative online electronic billing, payment & presentment (EBPP) service, issuing the first electronic invoice (DTR) in the country.
Launched LTL Services.
Established an International Logistics Center in San Luis Potosi Airport and Mexico Logistics Center, as well as an Exchange Center in Mexico City Airport.
Updated its technologic platform including ERP, CRM, Tracking 2.0 and PDV 2.0 systems.
Implemented a Quality Control System that accomplishes a 97% delivery success rate.
